Mid-Morning Session: “ Instructional Design: A Team-Based Approach in Creating Mentors.”

An interesting idea from the session, “ Instructional Design: A Team-Based Approach in Creating Mentors.” 

When they trained a group of faculty, they had them all design courses in disciplines other than their own. That way, they had to focus on the SLOs for the class. I’ll be some of the participants found this frustrating. So many of us (faculty) hate trying something new.We like being the expert in the room, not the learner.
